Before I started school, my mom entered my painting of a bird in a kids’ art show. As soon as I saw the shiny ribbon attached to it, I was hooked. I have no idea whether all the kids got a ribbon. No matter. It seemed like excellent proof I was good at something.
I’ve practiced some form of painting and design all my life. I earned a BA in Art from Virginia Tech and worked in graphic design, floral design and oil and watercolor painting before getting hooked on digital illustration. Some of my main interests are nature, lifestyle, food, fashion and children’s themes.
I live in Southern California where I have my family, the beach, and a small menagerie of pets and backyard critters to inspire me.
